Building Information Modeling (BIM) software anvedes til at skabe, vise, redigere og analysere bygningsmodeller med. Bygningsmodeller indeholder en geometrisk 3D Model, der er beriget med ydderligere informationer, som materialer og egenskaber i form af f.eks. materiale konstanter, priser og meget mere.
